FAQ: MeisterTask and MeisterNote are Coming Together (Suite Users)

This article applies to users who already use MeisterTask, MeisterNote and MindMeister.

On June 27th, 2023, Meister announced that MeisterNote will be permanently paired with MeisterTaskgiving users two tools for the price of one. Take a look at the following FAQs to learn more about how this change may affect your account.

How has my subscription changed?

Your MeisterTask subscription now gives you free access to MeisterNote. This is good news for users who are already paying for both tools: From now on, there’ll only be one license to pay for – MeisterTask – which gives you access to both tools for one great price.

When your current (monthly) billing cycle ends, your MeisterNote subscription will expire. From then on, you’ll only pay for your MeisterTask license(s), but continue to receive free access to MeisterNote.

How will MeisterNote and MeisterTask change?

MeisterNote and MeisterTask will remain standalone tools and there will be no immediate changes to their interface or functionality.

In the future, we intend to build deeper and more seamless integrations between MeisterTask and MeisterNote and expand their capabilities for project management and documentation.

Can I still purchase MeisterNote on its own?

No. Access to MeisterNote is included with every MeisterTask license, but it cannot be purchased separately.

When will these changes take effect?

When your current (monthly) billing cycle ends, your MeisterNote license(s) will expire. From then on, you’ll only pay for your MeisterTask license(s) and will receive your MeisterNote licenses at no charge.

Has the MeisterTask-MeisterNote integration changed?

Not yet. In the future, we do intend to build deeper and more seamless integrations between MeisterTask and MeisterNote and expand their capabilities for project management and documentation.

In the meantime, you can now quickly switch between the each Meister app using the Project Switcher in the top-right corner of each tool:

OpenMT

Will MindMeister be affected by this change?

No — MindMeister will remain a standalone tool.
