To export a project and its tasks as a CSV file, open the project, click the ( i ) button next to the project title in the top bar and click the More... button.
Click on Export as CSV and then select what you want to have exported in the CSV file.
You can select what information you want to export in your CSV by the following categories:
- Custom Fields
Note: You also have an option to include Archived tasks in the export.
Once you click the Export button you will receive a notification message that the export is being created:
When the export is done you will receive a notification on your Dashboard. Click the Download now button to download your CSV file and select where you want to save it.
The exported project will look something like this:
You can use this file to import your task information to other tools that support a CSV import.
Note: Tasks have a status (Completed, Open, Archived etc.) and this is shown in the CSV export with an individual number for each status:
- 1 - open
- 2 - completed
- 18 - archived task
Export Task Attachments
If a task contains 2 or more attachments, these can be downloaded as a .zip file.
To download the attachments from a task, open the task, click the small arrow beside Attachments and click on Download All.
Click on Done to close the notification window.
Once the export is complete you will receive a notification on your MeisterTask dashboard. Click the Download Now button to download the attachments.
Export Tracked Time
To export your internally tracked time, follow the same steps as outlined above, selecting the option Export Time Tracking instead of the regular CSV export.
