These changes apply to all users who use the desktop app.
The MeisterTask Windows and Mac apps will be removed by the end of 2024. MeisterTask will continue to function normally in any modern web browser, and this change only affects these desktop apps. Please make the transition to the web or mobile app to continue using MeisterTask.
Why are the Desktop Apps for Windows and Mac being removed?
The desktop apps are based on outdated technology and cannot support essential features like Notes, Accounts, and the MindMeister integration. Therefore, to prioritize the security, stability and ever-developing features of MeisterTask, the desktop app will be discontinued. This will allow the team to focus on enhancing the web and mobile versions.
