Please note
MeisterTask is currently being updated! You may still be seeing the old design. The new features will be available to everyone shortly.
If a person has not been added to a note by e-mail, but has been given access via team or group settings, the following rules apply:
A user’s product seat determines the highest level of access they can have in a note.
Key points about role hierarchy
- A user’s role on the product seat level overrides:
- Their role assigned through note-specific permissions.
- Their role assigned through group permissions.
- The role hierarchy is as follows: Product permission > Team permission > Group permission (see example below)
Example
If a user is assigned the following roles in a note:
- Viewer as a product seat.
- Contributor through the “Berta's Bonbon Betrieb” team.
- Contributor through a user group called “Design”.
Their highest permission for the note remains Viewer, as the product seat in accounts takes precedence over group roles and other permissions.
