Multi-Project Timeline View

This functionality is available for all Business users.

The Multi-Project Timeline View is a Gantt-style view on the Projects page. It allows you to visualize multiple projects across time in a single timeline.

Use this view to achieve the following goals:

  • Identify Overlaps: Spot scheduling conflicts across different projects instantly.
  • Manage Risks: Identify potential blockers before they escalate.
  • Track Progress: Monitor the completion status of your entire portfolio in one place.
  • Plan Flexibly: Adjust project plans and dates in real time directly on the timeline.
  • Align Resources: Ensure teams and resources are balanced effectively across workstreams.

Master Your Portfolio with the Multi-Project Timeline

  1. Open the Projects view in the dashboard sidebar.
  2. Click the view switcher dropdown at the top of the page.
  3. Select Timeline.

Schedule and Manage Your Projects

Tip: Visualizing Multiple Projects

To get a true high-level overview, select multiple projects from the project filter. This allows you to see how different plans interact and impact your overall timeline.

Projects are displayed as horizontal bars based on their set dates. Manage your schedule directly within the timeline:

  • Update Schedules: Use date pickers to change dates and see updates instantly.
  • Add Missing Dates: Click projects listed without dates to add them into the visual schedule.

Get a Clear Overview of Performance

Customize how you view your data to gain the specific insights you need:

Adjust Zoom Levels

Control the time range displayed by switching between Year, Quarter, or Month views using the zoom controls at the top of the timeline.

Monitor Deadlines with the Today Indicator

A vertical Today line provides real-time context, helping you instantly see how projects are positioned relative to current deadlines.


Track Completion and Identify Risks

The timeline visualization includes critical data points to help you spot issues early:

  • Completion Percentage: Track how close each project is to being finished.
  • Risk Status: Visual indicators highlight projects that may require immediate attention.
