Workload Planner

The Workload planner is available to Account Admins on the Enterprise plan.

The Workload planner helps you plan and allocate your team’s capacity across multiple projects over time. It gives you a time-based overview of who is working on what, so you can identify overload early and balance resources more effectively.


Where to find the Workload planner

You can access the Workload planner from the Projects overview.

  1. Open the Projects section from the left sidebar.
  2. Navigate to the Projects overview.
  3. Select the Workload planner view.

The planner displays your team’s workload across projects in a timeline view.


Plan capacity across projects

Use the Workload planner to distribute work across your team and avoid bottlenecks.

With the planner, you can:

  • View workload over time to understand upcoming capacity
  • Allocate work across projects based on availability
  • Identify overloaded team members before issues arise
  • Balance resources across multiple ongoing or upcoming projects

This makes it easier to plan ahead and ensure that projects stay on track without overloading individuals.


Who can use the Workload planner?

Availability
  • Available on the Enterprise plan only
  • Accessible to Account Admins only
  • Not available to regular team members

The Workload planner is designed for team leaders and administrators who need a high-level overview of capacity and resource allocation.


When to use the Workload planner

The Workload planner is especially useful if you:

  • Work with shared teams across projects
  • Want to prevent overload and delays

For a quick snapshot of current workload, you can also use the team workload widget on the Home page. The Workload planner complements this by helping you plan ahead over time.
