Format Text with Markdown

Markdown is a common formatting syntax used for plain text. In MeisterTask, you can use Markdown to format text in the task description as well as your comments.

 

You can see a list of all formatting options below:

This list is also available in MeisterTask. As soon as you click into the description field or a comment field, a link called Formatting is displayed. Click on the link to view all options.

Tip - For images only

With markdown, you can show a task attachment as a thumbnail in a comment.

 

Simply open the attachment, right click on it and use the option Copy image address. In the comment use the following markdown syntax ![title](link address) and add the image address between the round brackets. The square brackets are for the image title however you can leave it empty as well.

 

Make sure you don't leave any spaces between the markdown syntax.
