This feature is available to all users
You can edit your personal details, account password and email address from the accounts page.
Edit Your Personal Details
You can edit your name, username, website, and personal description in the Me section of the accounts page.
- Click your user avatar in the top-right corner of the MeisterTask interface.
- Select Account from the drop-down menu.
- Click Me on the left side of the accounts page.
- Ensure that the General tab has been selected.
- Edit your information and select Save Changes when you're finished.
Change Your User Avatar
Every user can select or upload a user avatar in the Me section of the accounts page. Choose an avatar which reflects your personality and allows your teammates to identify you at a glance.
- Click your current user avatar in the top-right corner of MeisterTask.
- Select Account.
- Click Me on the left side of the accounts page.
- Ensure that the General tab has been selected.
- Click the large image above My Avatar on the right side of the page.
- Choose to upload an image (in .png or .jpg format), use your google avatar or take a new photo.
Change Your Password

You can change your password in the Me section of the accounts page.
- Click your user avatar in the top-right corner of the MindMeister interface.
- Select Account to access the accounts page.
- Click Me on the left side of the accounts page.
- Click Password & Email.
- Type your current password and new password into the text fields provided.
Can't see a field to change your password? You've probably created your account via Single-Sign-On. To disable this, visit our troubleshooting guide below. - When you're finished, select Save Changes.
Change Your email Address
You can change the email address associated with your account in the Me section of the accounts page.
- Navigate to the Me section of the Accounts page (see above).
- Click Password & Email.
- Scroll down to the Email header.
- Enter a new email address in the text field provided.
Can't see a field to change your email address? You've probably created your account via Single-Sign-On. To disable this, visit our troubleshooting guide below. - Enter your current password to confirm the change.
- A confirmation email will be sent to your new email address. Click the link contained in this email to complete the process.
What Is Error 500?
Error 500 might appear when you're trying to change your email address. Find out how to solve this here.
Troubleshooting
If you can't see a field to change your email under the Password & Email tab, this is likely because your account was created via Single-Sign-On with another service (e.g. Google, Apple, etc.).
In this case, you'll first need to disconnect Single-Sign-On before you can change your email. To do this:
- Switch to the Services & Sessions tab.
- Click the Configure button next to the service you use to sign-in.
- Select Disconnect. You may first need to set a password.
- You can now change the email associated with your Meister account.
