You can add extra information or resources to a task by uploading file attachments from your local hard drive or a connected platform such as Dropbox or Google Drive to it. All attachments are safely stored in the cloud and can be accessed by your project collaborators.
Tasks with attachments are marked with a small paperclip icon and an inline preview of the attachment. To save space in your project board, you can also disable the inline preview in your appearance settings.
Basic users are able to upload files with a maximum size of 20MB. Pro users can upload files with up to 200MB.
Add Attachments to Tasks
First, click on a task to open the task dialog, then click on Add Attachment to show the list of connected platforms.
Upload a Local File
Select Local File to upload a file from your local hard drive. Alternatively, you can simply drag a file over the Add Attachment area and drop it there.
Upload from Dropbox
Choose Dropbox in the attachment popover to connect your MeisterTask account to your Dropbox account and to open the file picker containing your stored Dropbox data.
Upload from Google Drive
Choose Google in the attachment popover to connect your MeisterTask account to your Google Drive account and to open the file picker containing your stored Drive data.
Upload from Box
Choose Box in the attachment popover to connect your MeisterTask account to your Box account and to open the file picker containing your stored Box data.
Upload from MindMeister
Choose MindMeister in the attachment popover to add existing MindMeister mind maps to your tasks using the map picker.
All successfully uploaded attachments will be listed in the Attachments section of the task.
Clicking on an attachment opens our built-in Attachment Viewer which allows you to slide through all attachments saved on that task.
Delete Attachments from Tasks
To delete an existing attachment, open the task dialog and hover over the thumbnail of the attachment you want to delete until a small triangle appears in it. Click on the triangle and then select Delete from the menu.
Preview PDF attachments in Internet Explorer on Windows 7/10
Internet Explorer is an older browser and in order for the PDF preview to function properly please make sure you do the following:
- Ensure that Adobe Acrobat Reader is installed. Can be downloaded from here
- In Internet Explorer ensure that Active X Filtering is unchecked. You can toggle it via Settings Safety Active X Filtering
- Close and restart the browser.
