Using the Tasks area (formerly Agenda)

Who can use this feature?

- This feature is available to users on a Pro or Business plan.
- Users on a Basic plan have limited access (only access to the Focus column).

Please note that the Agenda has been renamed to “Tasks". Therefore, it will be referred to as the ‘Tasks area’ below. The Agenda is still available and accessible via the left sidebar. If you are looking for the Focus column, please click on Tasks in the left sidebar.

In MeisterTask, all tasks are created and managed within projects, which are the primary structure where tasks are organized. Although tasks are created in projects, they can be displayed elsewhere (e.g. the Tasks area) for easier access and better organization.

The Tasks area (formerly known as Agenda) is a private pinnboard where you can pin important tasks from your projects to a custom pinboard. This area does not allow you to create new tasks directly but helps you organize and track tasks from many different projects in one centralized place.

To access the Tasks area in MeisterTask, simply click Tasks in the left sidebar. To quickly create a new task in a project, use the keyboard shortcut N. Press N to immediately open the task creation window.

What is the Tasks area (formerly Agenda)?

The Tasks area is an individualized private pinboard which allows you to keep track of tasks from many different projects in one centralized place.

It can be easily accessed via the task icon on the left sidebar. Create a pinboard that works for you in two easy steps:

  1. Add sections to your area and arrange them in a way which suits your needs.
  2. Pin tasks from any project to your these sections.
Remember:

In contrast to project boards, your Tasks area is completely private. No one else can see it or view which tasks you've pinned to it.

Customize your sections in your Tasks area (formerly Agenda)

You can customize your Tasks section by renaming, arranging and changing the color of your sections.

  • Rename an existing section by clicking the name on the section header and directly editing the text.
  • Rearrange your sections by clicking and dragging the section header.
  • Change a section's color by hovering your mouse over the section header and selecting the arrow to access the drop-down menu.
  • Sort the tasks in each section by hovering your mouse over the section header and selecting the downwards arrow to access the drop-down menu.
