Notifications on iOS

This feature is available to all users

Enable push notifications on your MeisterTask mobile app to stay on top of your tasks and make sure you don't miss anything important. In-app notification and e-mail notification settings can be changed on the Preferences page of the web app.

Enable Push Notifications

With push notifications enabled, you will receive all in-app notifications on your mobile device, even when you are in a different app or not currently using your device. To enable push notifications:

  1. Tap on your user avatar in the top-left corner of your display.
  2. Scroll down and tap Notification settings.

Troubleshooting Mobile Notifications

If you're not receiving notifications, double check you've enabled both notifications and background app refresh in your iOS settings!

Edit Due Date Reminders

From the mobile app, you can edit when a Due Date Reminder notification will be sent. You can set reminders to be sent from 5 minutes before the task's due date to 1 week before it. To edit reminders:

  1. Tap your user avatar in the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap Reminders.
  3. Choose a time period or No Reminder.
  4. Tap My Account in the top left – your preferences will be saved automatically.

The same reminder notification setting will be applied to all tasks assigned to you.

Email Notifications

You can edit a limited list of email notification settings from the iOS app. To make changes:

  1. Tap your user avatar in the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Scroll down and tap Email and Digest.
  3. Toggle the buttons for whichever notifications you'd like to enable.

You can edit all email notification and digest settings in the web app here.
