This feature is available for all users.
The new Home in MeisterTask is a central hub for all your tasks and notifications. It offers quick access to both the search feature and all your small to-dos in the Checklist.
Overview of Home
The new Home in MeisterTask provides a personalized overview of all important tasks and all notifications. Home is your personal dashboard.
To access Home, click the Home icon in the left sidebar. Home includes:
- Search: Find recent content or perform a full search across projects, tasks, or notes. This functionality is the same as the Search feature in the left sidebar.
- My Tasks: View tasks that were created in projects and are assigned to you or pinned by you. All tasks are pre-sorted by due date.
- Notifications: Stay up-to-date with a new, unified notification feed covering all project and notes in one place.
- My checklist: Here you can see your usual checklist with all the entries.
-
Sidebar: Access your Projects, pinned tasks in the personal Tasks area (formerly Agenda), Reports, and Notes.
The size and layout of the functions on the Home page cannot currently be changed, customized, or hidden.
Search
Enter your search term or phrase in the field beside the magnifying glass to search all projects, tasks, notes and pages that you have access to.
List of Tasks on the Home page
Keep track of your most important tasks with the Tasks list on your Home page.
The Tasks list on the Home page (dashboard) shows your prioritized tasks clearly arranged by due date. You can see both tasks assigned to you and pinned tasks from the task area (formerly known as Agenda). This allows you to keep track of tasks that you are only partially working on.

Notifications
Notifications are personalized and relevant messages used to communicate critical information or updates in real time.
To view notifications from any project, task or note, click on the Home icon in the left sidebar.

Add a small Checklist entry to the Start page
Use the personal checklist on the Home page to note down very small or personal tasks that are not included in any project.
This is how you create your checklist on the Home page:
- Open the Home page.
- Click on + Add item to add items to your checklist.
- Enter the text and press the enter key.
- When you have taken care of a checklist item, click the circle to remove the item from your list. This will make the checklist item disappear. Please note that you will no longer be able to see it.
Please note that once you check off a checklist item, it is no longer visible and cannot be retrieved later. Therefore, think carefully about whether you want to mark an item as completed or not before you do so.
You can delete entries in the checklist from the Start page by simply ticking the entry off. As soon as you tick it off, the entry is automatically removed. It is not possible to restore checklist entries.
(Please note, the My Checklist function on the Home page is independent and not related to the Checklist function in tasks. If you would like to find out more about the checklist function in tasks, click here).
Edit and rearrange Checklist entries on the Home page
You can edit, reorder or convert your personal to-dos on the Home page into fully-fledged tasks at any time.
Edit text
Click on the entry and change the text directly. Changes are saved automatically as soon as you leave the field.
Change the order of the to-dos in the checklist
Drag and drop the entry to the desired position in the list.
Converting a checklist entry on the Home page into a task
If a to-do becomes more extensive, you can convert it into a task:
- Move the mouse over the desired checklist entry.
- Click on the “Convert to task” icon.
- If necessary, edit the title of the task.
- Select the project to which the task is to be assigned.
- Select the appropriate column in the project.
- Click on Create task.
How is Home different from the old dashboard?
- My Tasks: The new Home provides an overview of your most important tasks, sorted by due date. It is not possible to sort tasks by name or project. It is not possible to display tags.
- Search: The current Search functionality is now easily accessible from Home.
- Notifications: A new unified notification feed includes notifications for Tasks, Projects, and Notes, all in one place.
- Time Tracking: The access to the Time Tracking feature via the icon has been removed for now due to low usage from Home. You can still use Time Tracking by selecting a task from the task list and clicking the play button.
- Background Customization: You can still customize the background the same way as on the old dashboard. However, features like the Notification feed and My Tasks cannot be toggled on or off, unlike in the previous version.
- Motivational Quote: The quote has been removed to provide more space for current and upcoming features on the Home page.
