This feature is available to Pro and Business users.
Organize your projects into Project Groups to create a folder structure for your projects. Project Groups are a great way to keep your project list structured and organized, especially when you're a member of many projects.
In the project list on the Projects page, your groups appear as tabs alongside Recents and All.
Personalized View
Project Groups are a personal view. The way you organize, group, or name these folders only affects your own project list and will not be visible to other project members.
Create a New Project Group
- Open the Projects page.
- Click the + New dropdown and select New project group.
- Enter a name for your new Project Group and select Create.
- Your Project Group will appear as a tab in the project list, alongside Recents and All.
To rename or delete a Project Group, hover your mouse over the group tab and select the small arrow which appears. Choose rename or delete from the drop-down menu. (You can only delete a project group on the MeisterTask web app, not on the mobile app.)
Move Projects into Groups
You can move projects into groups simply by dragging and dropping them. Be sure to select projects using the list icon (three lines).
Switch between your group tabs to maintain the best possible overview of your projects.
What's the difference between groups and portfolios?
Both project groups and portfolios let you bring projects together, but they serve different purposes:
- Project groups help you organize your projects into a folder-like structure in your project list.
- Portfolios help you monitor related projects together, for example with the multi-project timeline and Workload planner.
Project groups and portfolios are separate features. Your existing project groups are not converted into portfolios, and both continue to work independently.
